**About the Business Unit**
- The FAS is highly anticipated by victims and stakeholders and represents a major leap forward in the Victorian Government's response to victims of crime. Established under the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance Scheme) Act 2022 (the Act) the FAS will provide financial assistance through a simple and easy to navigate process that is fair, sensitive, and responsive to victims' needs. It will acknowledge harm done and be trauma informed, inclusive and culturally safe.

**About you**
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
**Technical Expertise**
- Experience working with victims of family violence, sexual assault, and victims of crime more broadly and an understanding of the systemic barriers faced by marginalised communities in the justice system.
- Commitment to actively pursuing a culturally safe workplace and organisation and improved outcomes for Aboriginal people, aligned with the principle of self-determination.
- Knowledge of risk factors for family violence and the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework

**Qualifications**
- A relevant qualification and/or experience in community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services and/or family violence is highly desirable
