**The Role**
As the EL 2 Human Systems Integration Lead in the Directorate of Specialist Engineering, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a small team of highly specialised personnel focused on assessment and enhancement of ADF Land materiel, providing direct input to the safety of personnel on operations and in training.

You will be responsible for guiding, mentoring and developing the personnel within your team, and, as the HSI Lead, you will be expected to drive capability growth and upskilling of Land Engineering Agency personnel in the field of Human Systems Integration.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. Key requirements of the role include (but not limited to):

- Critical analysis and development of workable solutions to complex problems;
- Production of HSI policy and guidance;
- Identification, management and mitigation of Human Systems risks;
- Understanding and inclusion of HSI in relevant project documents and activities (User Requirements, Functional and Performance Specifications, tender and contract documents, test and evaluation activities etc.); and
- Working in partnership with key stakeholders both domestically and internationally, within and outside Defence.
