Ramsay owns John Flynn Private Hospital on the Gold Coast which has an active, established Emergency Department.

**About the Role**

John Flynn Private Hospital is a 330 bed Hospital. There is a 15 bed ED that treats 15000 patients a year. At current trajectory most likely 18000 this year, hence we need to expand our Medical Staffing

Current medical staffing is majority FACEM but we have a few GP/CMO’s, ACRRM and Senior Advanced Trainee’s. We see our own patients. No junior supervision. No on-call. We refer directly to other Specialists. Referrals are collegiate and friendly***

The Hospital offers an array of Specialist services including most Medical and Surgical Subspecialties. The Subspecialties that we lack are Neurosurgery and Psychiatry (including Drug and Alcohol) and local Multi-trauma goes to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Doctors become employees and we have fulltime, part time and casual options.

Payment includes an hourly rate plus generous incentives based on a percentage of your billings. Not a brilliant job for a Doc who likes to sit in the tearoom BUT a rewarding one for those of us who prefer to efficiently care for our own patients. Our nursing staff are experienced and friendly and we work closely within the unit.

We are looking for Doctors who are willing to become part of our team. Willingness to “play with the team” is one of our most desirable qualities. We will consider all above mentioned qualifications but must qualify for a Provider number to bill patients through Medicare.

**Requirements**:
Everyone who joins Ramsay:

- Must be up-to-date in their **vaccination against COVID-19 (including the third dose, as required)** using a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation.
- Must provide a **National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases
