Clinical Nurse

About the Role

John Flynn Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our supportive team in Medical Ward 6B. In this role, you will provide day-to-day clinical leadership, mentor and support colleagues in their professional development, and contribute to problem-solving and procurement within the ward.

This permanent part-time position is 60 hours per fortnight, with the option to take on additional clinical hours if desired. You will care for a diverse and rewarding patient caseload and work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager as a trusted resource, mentor, and role model for your colleagues while delivering specialised, high-quality care.

About You

You are a dedicated, patient-focused nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also bring:

• Minimum 3 years' recent experience in palliative care and geriatrics.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications (or willingness to work towards them).
• Strong communication, organisational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• High-level computer literacy.

Remuneration: An hourly base rate of $54.72 – $ superannuation (dependent on experience and qualifications, exclusive of penalties and allowances) applies under the QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 (Gr 1–4).

The Hospital

John Flynn Private Hospital is a 334 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, which is on the southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport. The hospital provides services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending into the NSW Northern Rivers area.

• Must provide aNational Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
