The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Social Worker (Adult Mental Health Community) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide efficient and responsive community mental health nursing care at a professional level
- Undertake and coordinate case management activities that are designed to help individuals affected by serious and persistent mental illness
- Participate in clinical practice supervision with senior staff and exercise independent professional judgement
- Contribute to activities that evaluate and ensure the effective functioning of the service

About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- A tertiary degree in Social Work
- Eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Driver licence
- Blue card / Working with children check (GCH will cover cost)
- Appointment or eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $76 747 - $112 805 per annum

The CCT operates Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, across variety of settings within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).
