The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Social Workers to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide an efficient and responsive Social Work Service appropriate to a patient group and their families and carers
- Utilise knowledge and understanding of the biopsychosocial framework of practice in a hospital setting
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- A Social Work degree accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Working with Children check (Blue Card) (Queensland Health will meet the cost)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (two full time positions and one part time position, 45.6 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $3 099.00 - $4 287.50 per annum or $40.77 - $56.41 per hour

The Social Work Service is active in student education and training, providing continuing professional education and training, clinical supervision, and research. The Social Work Service actively encourages and supports the development of a range of social work clinical specialties such as: child protection, women, newborn and children's, trauma, rehabilitation and aged care, grief and bereavement, multicultural health and domestic and family violence. Based at Southport and Robina.
