**About the organisation.**

The disability community in Australia is diverse, made up of any number of participants from diverse cultural, gender/sexuality, and linguistic backgrounds. A Strategic Communications and Innovations Assistant Director is charged to strategically deliver on the needs of a diverse community.

**About the Role**:

- Engage and advocate with a diverse range of community groups with wide varying needs
- Produce professional communications that strategically reach all community members and accommodate for individuality and diversity.
- Represent stakeholders and peers at forums and quorums, as well as leading consultative events to allow participant input.
- Identify trends, issues, and improvements for communication strategies to reach a broad audience for multiple backgrounds
- Liaise with internal and external departments in achieving the outcomes stated in the department’s strategy of business improvement for LGBTIQA+ people with disabilities.

**About you**:

- You will have outstanding written, verbal, and communication skills, with a strong government communications background.
- You will be able to connect and collate research, feedback, and improvements in partnership with the LGBTIQA+ - disability community.
- You will be able to direct with influence, internal and external departments and consult on behalf of the LGBTIQA+ disability community.
- You will have extensive experience in establishing; forums, outreach programs, and participant surveys, with the ability to analyse and present reports for publication.
- You will be adaptable and responsive the changes of service improvements and assist in roll out policies in line with specific strategies.
