**About the role**
As the Head of Brand and Experience Marketing you are responsible for helping Australians to Drink Better, elevating their palettes, helping them to discover their next favourite drink and pushing the industry into new places. As the custodian of the brand and advocate for the younger, premium customer you will use your strong influencing skills and visionary leadership to guide the business into the next stage of growth. Partnering across the business to surprise and delight our customers by creating memorable experiences that drive advocacy for years to come.
- Grow and lead a team of 26 high performing marketing professionals across brand, campaign, catalogue, visual merchandising and events.
- As part of the marketing leadership team and the voice of the brand and customer. Help shape, influence, collaborate and drive decision making across a complex matrix organisation and senior leaders to deliver against the business strategy and to mentor the next generation of leaders.
- Accountable for the acquisition and advocacy of new customers, by being the customer voice of change and evolving our Brand and Experience touch points to better meet their emerging needs. This includes touch points within your immediate control and influencing to deliver results through others.
- Through your team, drive Drink Better through the customer trade plan to meet sales and GP targets, with a balanced focus on value & trend leadership and acquiring younger and more premium customers. Have a mindset of constant improvement to ensure fewer, bigger, better and customer-first centricity.
- Partner with the broader Group Marketing & Endeavour Group to share and adopt best practice marketing and leverage capability across the group.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to own a visionary strategy and implement the structure behind the strategy, in order to drive new brand initiatives and launch a number of exciting new projects.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate considerable experience in the following key areas:
- Proven experience in a previous Head of Marketing/Brand role in retail or service industries, with extensive brand development experience.
- Exposure to developing personalised content at scale
- Tertiary qualifications in business/and or marketing
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the Liquor industry, with ideally experience in wine.
- Proven experience in people leadership, leading with authenticity and developing high performance teams, encouraging creative expression and to drive effective continuous improvement.
- Exceptional influencing skills, to lead initiatives cross functionally and contribute to commercial conversations both internally and externally.
- Stakeholder Management - the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Experience developing and translating brand across omni-channel touch points, including format.
- Ability to use and leverage market data & insights to develop customer first solutions and drive continuous improvement for Dan Murphy’s.
