We are looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join our team. You will support the Hotel School (THS) Finance function, focusing primarily on reconciliations, receivables and payables.

**About The Hotel School (THS)**:
THS is a unique educational organisation partnered between education (Southern Cross University) and industry (Mulpha Education Group). We currently deliver undergraduate and postgraduate business degrees specialising within tourism, hospitality, events and hotel management.

Our campuses are in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hayman Island.

**About the Role**:
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate recording, generation and reconciliation of accounts, assisting with month end accounting functions and all accounts payable and receivable.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring accurate reconciliation of all daily takings and reconciliation journals
- Daily processing of bank transactions and monthly bank reconciliations
- Monitoring and actioning relevant inboxes to ensure all requirements are actioned in a timely manner
- Reconciliation of supplier statements and processing of supplier invoices for weekly payments cycles
- Reconciliation of customer accounts and generation of customer invoices and statements
- Working closely with the financial team and actioning requests as required

**About You**:
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, skills, abilities and experience:

- Previous bookkeeping / financial experience, ideally within a multifaceted business
- Experience with Financial Management systems and Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel
- High level attention to detail, and ability to communicate efficiently and effectively within a diverse team
- Dynamic approach to problem solving and process improvements
- Business Administration, or accounting qualifications are highly desirable, as is previous experience within the Hospitality environment
- Proven ability to multi task and prioritise work and deliver deadlines
- Readiness to learn new processes, skills and technologies with an open mind and eagerness to expand professional skill set
- Experience demonstrating accountability in performance
