**Role**:
An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
- Specific support tasks to achieve outcomes. Typically, this will involve accountability for a single function, (e.g., ensuring data is properly maintained) or the coordination of a work area under the direction of the principal or a manager.
- Assisting teachers, within an educational program, by undertaking specific support tasks or the coordination of the support function.

An education support class position at this range commencing at the base will initially be limited to undertaking routine tasks that are carried out under close supervision and direction. Work that carries some degree of independence will generally involve a limited number of tasks performed on a regular basis where priorities are clear, procedures are well established, and direction is readily available. Subject to any specific qualification and/or training requirement, an education support class employee employed in this range may be progressively required to undertake coordination, specialised student/teacher support tasks, or technical tasks as experience in the role is gained.

**Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant will assist the International Students Program Manager in the operation of the ISP program and will include other administrative activities.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Assist in the orientation of new students before and on arrival.
- Airport reception and pick-ups.
- Work with team members to ensure that appropriate homestay accommodation is arranged and assistance and induction provided upon arrival. Organise Homestay visit arrangements in line with quality standards.
- Assist in monitoring attendance, academic progress, welfare and pastoral care of International students in accordance with established guidelines.
- Consult with the International Students Program Manager concerning any complaints made by International students, parents or carers.
- Ensure that appropriate reports (translated into the native language or interpreted via phone or face to face) are provided to parents/carers at least twice yearly.
- Notify the International Students Program Manager if students fail to comply with visa requirements/performance conditions or if there are any changes to the personal details or circumstances of an International student.
- Liaise with IED, Agents, parents/carers, homestay families and students as necessary.
- Assist with continuous IED Audit process through the VISIT system.
- Maintain and update office systems and administrative records in line with DE and College policy and procedures.
- Perform a range of administrative and support duties for the Executive team.
