**The Department**

At the heart of SBS, Audio and Language Content have over 60 language teams engaging audiences in conversations on Australian and international news and current affairs, and connecting communities through stories and providing settlement information. We deliver services across radio, podcasting, online and social media. Three digital music stations showcase the best of global chill, East Asian and Desi pop music. Supporting our content makers are dedicated Activations, Business Affairs, Content, Online, Resources and Training teams

**The Role**

This will be a new digital language service on SBS. The Executive Producer is responsible for developing and delivering the editorial content and social strategy for the Telugu language service. This includes the production and delivery of distinctive and innovative multi-platform content for the Telugu language service. The content will be consistent with SBS Codes of Practice, Editorial Guidelines, established editorial strategy and other relevant standards and formats.

Reporting into the Program Manager within our Audio and Language Content team this role will see you doing the following:

- Undertaking and/or assisting with a range of journalism and content production tasks to provide multiplatform content
- Establishing, developing and maintaining appropriate contact with correspondents (stringers and contributors) and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contributing to divisional objectives through participation in cross-language content and other initiatives.
- Creating audio podcasts (including recording interviews and features). Use relevant production systems and equipment to edit and publish content to SBS and third-party platforms.
- Ensuring all relevant content scheduled is published as required, including promos, advertising and information campaigns and/or sponsorship announcements in accordance with the SBS Codes of Practice and Editorial Guidelines and other relevant policies.
- The Executive Producer is also responsible for the effective use of budget, casual staff and other resources allocated to the program.

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in professional broadcast journalism including:

- Ability to undertake tasks involved in the planning, preparation, production, presentation and delivery of multiplatform content.
- Ability to write, compile and present news, sport and current affairs from a variety of sources.
- Availability for and ability to work rostered shifts.
- Proficiency in English and in Telugu both written and spoken including clear broadcast delivery.
