Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) was Australia’s first dedicated paediatric research facility and is now one of the world’s most highly regarded independent medical research organisations. Our research focuses on the four key areas impacting children’s health: cancer, genomics and genetic diseases, neurobiology, and embryology.

**Work with a team of dedicated professionals**

We are looking for a Research Officer (Postdoc researcher) to join our team to:

- Research and Project Execution - Conduct cutting-edge research on nuclear processes in cancer cells, contributing to the understanding of how nuclear architecture promotes drug resistance. Execute and manage experimental techniques such as cell culture, microscopy, CRISPR screens, and molecular biology methods.
- Data Analysis and Communication - Analyse and interpret research findings using advanced image analysis and other tools. Prepare and present data through scientific publications, conference presentations, and progress reports.
- Technical Proficiency and Laboratory Management - Maintain high technical standards in experimental procedures, including cell line generation, molecular cloning, and Western blotting. Assist in the development and optimization of methodologies to advance the project goals.

**What can you bring to this role?**
- PhD in the field of Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Biology, Cancer Research, Biotechnology, or Medical Sciences is required.
- Demonstrated experience in cell and molecular biological techniques is required.
- Experience / knowledge around Microscopy, Coding, CRISPR screens, Image Analysis and Bioinformatics is preferred.

Pay: $96,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
