**About the Role**
As our part-time Communication Specialist, will develop and manage communication strategies for our Icon Cancer Centre division. Your primary focus is to drive the successful development of content and PR across owned and earned channels, supporting local area brand and centre awareness in line with our network growth in 2025.
This role is a maternity cover position, and we are open to negotiating working hours and days to suit your availability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify and execute media campaigns and communication strategies, developing associated communication content in line with divisional goals and Icon Group strategy
- Develop and implement local PR and communication strategies to drive local area brand awareness and support centre performance, focussing on community awareness of our new centre pipeline
- Lead and execute a compelling storytelling content strategy for owned and earned channels that is consistent with Icon’s brand narrative, including patient interviewing
- Proactively source content from across the networking seeking out innovative stories, achievements and ideas that are consistent with the Icon Group strategy
- Manage divisional PR and content conversations to ensure that ideas and opportunities are leveraged across the wider communications program
- Demonstrate exceptional copywriting, interviewing, editing and proofreading skills across a diverse channel mix, and for stakeholders from various demographics, cultures, and levels of education.
- Make contact with Icon’s patient and internal community to generate suitable content for social and media channels
**About You**
You are an experienced Communication professional with the following qualifications and skills:
- Tertiary qualification in communications, PR, or other related fields.
- 5 years+ marketing communication or PR experience.
- Demonstrated creativity in communications and content
- Experience working in healthcare and with patient communities is highly desirable
You will have a key interest in working for an organisation that focuses on providing quality patient care.
