Be part of an initiative building the capability, evidence, and impact of Queensland's early childhood education and care workforce.
The Bryan Education Foundation is collaborating with the sector to codesign and establish a new organisation (a Queensland Early Years Workforce Institute) dedicated to strengthening the knowledge, skills, and depth of Queensland's early years workforce — a core action under the Queensland Early Childhood Workforce Strategy 2023–2027.
Until September 2026, will see The Bryan Education Foundation lead the development of the new independent entity, co-designing how and what the Institute will focus on, and trial some workforce planning and development initiatives.
About the roleThe Communications Specialist leads the development and implementation of communications strategies, branding, media, and stakeholder engagement to position the Institute during its establishment.
This role creates website and social media content, develops collateral and branding templates, manages media relations, and supports key events and announcements.
About youYou're a creative communicator who enjoys helping new ideas gain traction and visibility across Queensland's early childhood sector.
You're motivated by crafting messages that connect people to a cause and amplify impact.
Key skills and experience- Experience providing strategic communications advice to senior leaders.
- Experience managing digital content via CMS tools (e.g. WordPress).
- Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, or related field
- Experience developing communication strategies and brand identity
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills
- Experience with digital media and stakeholder engagement
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating events or announcements
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) as required in Queensland
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa for Australia
What we offer
- Access to DGR1 salary packaging — package up to $15,900 (everyday expenses) and $2,650 (meals/entertainment), giving up to ~$7,000 in additional take-home pay (depending on your personal circumstances).

- Part time arrangements can also be considered, salary to be prorated accordingly
