- SCHADS Award - CASH Employee Level 4, commencing $53.84 per hour

**About Us**
Platform Youth Services is a growing not-for-profit based youth homelessness service, that has provided holistic services to vulnerable young people who are at risk of homelessness or who are experiencing homelessness in the Nepean, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury areas for over 45 years.

**About the role**
The Coordinators primary purpose is to lead and support the programs team and coordinate programs resources to provide high quality integrated support services that deliver the achievement of positive outcomes for vulnerable young people who are homeless (or at risk of). At the same time, ensuring the programs objectives remain aligned with Platform’s vision and purpose ‘to break the cycle of homelessness’ through role modelling of our core values of integrity, aspiration, respect, advocacy, connection and perseverance.
We are looking for a motivated & dedicated Coordinator to lead the set-up of a new Crisis Centre, who’s strengths include:
- Extensive experience working with vulnerable young people in crisis and critical time interventions
- Experience in establishing a new program/ service
- Service/model design & evaluation skills
- Project and Change Management experience
- Thorough knowledge of intake & assessment processes
- Strong cultural competency
- Advocate and strong links to local community, services & resources
- Proactive & Innovative, go-getter who is flexible, adaptable & responsive
- A problem-solver with the ability to think on their feet and make sound judgments in high-pressure environments.
**Selection Criteria**:
- the core requirements to be considered for this role include:
- Extensive experience working with vulnerable young people, in a Crisis, Residential and/or Outreach capacity.
- Strong knowledge and experience working in Trauma Informed Care and Person Centred Practice frameworks.
- Demonstrated solutions focussed, innovative and culturally aware approach to prioritising client needs and outcomes.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in best practice Case Management and Intake and Assessment processes.
- Sound knowledge of Special Homelessness Services (SHS).
- Sound knowledge of relevant Child Protection legislation and reporting requirements.
- Experience in leading, supervising, supporting or mentoring staff.
- Experience in leading and managing projects and workplace change.
- Strong business nous, agility, problem solving and issues management experience, with demonstrated ability to provide good judgement in crisis critical time interventions and housing situations.
- Sound analytical skills, with demonstrated experience in evidence-based research, program planning, development, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with an ability to be self-directed, plan, prioritise and organise work and projects to meet objectives and deadlines for self and others.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities from a variety of sources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with demonstrated experience in building and managing relationships and partnerships.
- High level proficiency in using Client Information Management systems and other IT systems (software and hardware), including Microsoft office.
**Qualifications, Checks and References**
- Diploma in Community Services and/or equivalent skills, knowledge and industry experience
- Evidence of Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency
- Unrestricted Current 'C' class Driver’s Licence as you may be required to work across any of Platforms sites in the Nepean, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury areas
- A valid National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
- Two referees, including current or most recent manager.
