About this opportunity*
PACT Group’s Synergy Packaging specialises in the manufacture and supply of environmentally friendly packaging for the beauty, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries. With a large and diverse range of SKU’s, we manufacture PET and rPET (100% recycled) plastic bottles and jars at our Tullamarine facility.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, We are seeking a Quality specialist to ensure products are of high quality standards for our customers.
A key member of team based in Tullamarine, you will Maintain and update the quality assurance and control systems, including the HACCP plan, and continually review the systems to meet current and future requirements. This is a great opportunity to step up your existing Quality experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
Your key responsibilities will be:

- Establishing quality standards for new products, training team members on quality processes and ensuring they are followed in the production facility.
- Coordinating all internal, external and third-party customer audits, managing non-conformances and putting in place robust corrective actions and prevention strategies.
- Leading customer complaint and quality issue investigations.
- Ensuring compliance to meet all regulatory, customer and company requirements, including relevant accreditations.
- Assisting in maintaining site maintenance and cleaning schedules.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for Quality and is seeking an opportunity to enter this exciting and fast paced industry. Other skills and experience we are looking for are:

- Relevant qualification in Food Technology, or Quality ideal
- Experience working in QA within plastic industry is preferred
- HACCP/ISO qualification/knowledge is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Sound Computer skills
