**About the role**
As leading Hand (Construction) you will be part of the Works and Field Services team and will be responsible for undertaking skilled civil and/or municipal construction and maintenance work in accordance with Council standards. Assist the Supervisor (Construction) in undertaking skilled construction in accordance with Council’s municipal, landscape, civil works projects by controlling components of the project’s construction. From time to time the Leading Hand (Construction) may be required to act in the capacity of a Supervisor (Construction).

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Carry out and complete skilled civil and/or municipal construction and maintenance activities to Council Standards, Australian Standards or Australian Quality Framework performance standards (as is appropriate)
- Comply with relevant legislation, Council policies and procedures
- Operate plant and equipment within licence requirements, manufacturer’s specifications and to Council standards

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
- Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence
- General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card
- Certificate 3 in civil construction, or evidence of equivalent demonstrated civil construction knowledge and experience covering the Key Responsibilities outlined in Item 3

A pre-employment medical will be required for this role (Including drug and alcohol testing)

This is a permanent full time Level 14 - 16 with a salary package commencing at $64,498 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
