The diverse and talented staff in the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) play a central role in achieving ECU's vision, and in designing and implementing future-oriented teaching and learning strategies. With its base at the Joondalup Campus, the CLT delivers a comprehensive suite of services and programmes.
The Teaching Quality team in the Centre for Learning and Teaching supports the development of excellence in curriculum and assessment at ECU by working collaboratively with staff in Schools and professional service centres.
The Centre is seeking Learning Designers who will provide guidance to support Schools and academic staff in the delivery of quality, innovative and “fit-for-purpose” learning experiences to students using a range of strategies and technologies.
The Role
Undergraduate degree or higher qualification in relevant field (e.g. Learning Sciences, Education, Instructional Design) or demonstrated equivalence;
Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team, to accommodate and work well with different working styles and to work independently where required.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and lifelong learning.
Demonstrated commitment to learning and adopting emerging technologies; new pedagogical approaches; and sound assessment practices to enhance the teaching and learning experience;
**Desirable**: Experience supporting academic staff to transform their curriculum and practice with high quality, engaging, and innovative approaches appropriate for online and face-to-face teaching;
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $100,512 to $112,622 pa (HEW 7) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
