**Design and Production Assistant**

**About THE ROLE**

To work alongside the Design and Production Teams to ensure all elements of the design and production process are completed and followed in-line with company timelines, goals and values.

This is an important role that sits between the teams with daily responsibilities from researching trends to updating design files as well as tracking parcels for samples and meeting timelines to assist with the entire process.

Based in our Potts Point office, this is a full-time role working from the office.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Adhere to department Critical Path to ensure successful completion of tasks
- Updating of Design and Production files communicated effectively to concerning staff.
- Perform specific design briefs as directed by the Head of Design and Product Manger
- Creating brand books, product pitches and design catalogues for customer meetings.
- Assisting the Head of Design and Product Manager in preparation for Product Review meetings
- Conduct research analysis of market relevance in retail and design
- Updating of monthly range boards for accurate visual reference
- Creation of monthly colour palettes for in house and external reference
- Monitoring and reporting the website and social channels to ensure all garment content is correct
- Assisting the Head of Design and Product Manager with E-commerce and Campaign photoshoot preparation and roll out when required
- Organisation of samples, accessories and racks prior and post shoots
- Supporting the Production Team with handling of samples, strike offs and lab dips that arrive for Design.
- Parcel management with sending and receiving production samples/trims
- Store visits with reports to support findings
- Preparation for fit sessions to ensure efficiency with time, samples and file organisation.
- Rotation and organisation of samples into their correct location for the life and cycle of the style
- Maintenance of tech packs to reflect design updates
- General maintenance of the working space to ensure the team is set for success with the weekly schedule

**Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or related discipline
- 2 year’s experience in a similar role/environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills, planning and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy entering data
- Intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong technical drawing skills
- Experience with placement and yardage print design
- Understanding of garment construction and fitting processes
- Experience in assisting in all aspects of design from concept to sampling to final production is desirable
- Embraces change and results orientated
