Chandler Personnel is looking for a Transport Team Leader in Burwood VIC.
Permanent Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Team Leader to manage our transportation operations. As the Transport Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our transportation department, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and coordinate transportation activities, including route planning, scheduling, and dispatching of drivers and vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor driver performance and provide coaching and training as needed.
- Manage and maintain vehicle fleet, including scheduling repairs and routine maintenance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
- Analyze transportation data and make recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead, manage and develop competencies within a team of staff in order to meet the growth aspirations of the business as outlined in the approved strategic plan
- Create and maintain transportation-related documents, such as delivery schedules and invoices.
- Monitor transportation budget and make adjustments as necessary.
- Customer Service on collection of goods and auction rooms - assisting customer to load/unload items for auction
- KPI Driven - based on performance, budgeting, operations

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in customer facing service roles
- At least 5 years of experience driving/transporting goods by truck
- Current Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed
