**About the Team**

Accelerating the information security agenda, maturing the cyber posture through effective risk management. The Security and Risk team provides security governance, risk and assurance services, as well as security operations services including incident and vulnerability management to the Greater Sydney IT Portfolio to uplift resilience. Security and cyber are the fastest growing information technology fields globally, with digital transformation, cloud computing, sophisticated threat landscapes which are constantly evolving.

**The opportunity**

Right now with have a permanent career role for a Specialist, Cyber Security Solution Advisory to join the Security and Risk team.

The role provides specialist advice and skills to ensure the successful implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of cyber defence, risk and resilience services across the Sydney Trains, Greater Sydney IT portfolio and Transport cluster.

The role will:

- Consult relevant internal and external expertise, research and analysis to continuously improve one or more of these services, in order to measurably reduce cyber and technology risk within agencies and across the cluster.
- Deliver and enhance tools and processes to promote effective practices amongst cyber and risk teams across the cluster

**About you**

Together with appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience, you will bring strong skills in Splunk as well as a broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and IDPs.

You can also bring a strong understanding of SOC and Incident Response practices and methodologies as well as hands on experience implementing Enterprise SIEM products e.g. Splunk and its Log Collection/Correlation.

As a person, you are a highly motivated individual who is independent and can quickly understand a technical security architecture in both legacy and cloud environments.

In addition to having IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, protocols, operating systems, software, hardware and security, at the core you are a person with passion - for solving problems, for working with people, and for technology.

Any experience across enterprise networks and Operational Technology environments and relevant certifications like CRISC, CISM, TOGAF, SABSA or similar would be ideal.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($142,178 - $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
