**Family Day Care Coordinator**

Excellence in Care is a growing service and we are seeking a passionate experienced Coordinator to guide and support our family day care educators through their educational journey.

**Position purpose**:
Our Coordinator is responsible for supporting educators and aide in maintaining and monitoring the standards and quality of educators and family day care by leading the facility through the EIC Service philosophy, ensuring it is current, understood and that it is implemented in a clear and structured manner.

**Position requirements**:

- Permanent 4 days per week position based in Camira QLD, 4300
- The successful applicant will be required to undertake educator home visits

**Applicants will be required to demonstrate the following experience, capabilities, knowledge & skills**:

- Sound Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Childhood Education and Care Legislation and Regulations.
- Strong knowledge and experience of the family day care industry.
- Preferable experience as a Coordinator.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to promote and represent the service within the community.
- Ability to relate effectively to educators, children and their families.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Advanced communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to show compassion and care to the children and their families.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite of products.
- Experience with a children’s service system such as HubWorks & FDSEE advantageous.

**Key responsibilities and duties**
- Ensuring that the relevant provisions and standards of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations are understood and adhered to by educators.
- Ensure families receive a quality childcare service through the development and implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure educators receive professional and personal support in their role as childcare providers in accordance to their needs and experience.
- Ensure Children in care are experiencing an environment which is emotionally, socially, cognitively and physically stimulating, and meets their individual developmental needs.
- Offer appropriate placement choices to families.
- Coordinate & manage playgroup - preparation and delivery as required.
- Ability to develop risk management plans.

**Successful applicant will have**:

- Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood & Education
- Positive Notice Blue Card
- Recent Police Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
- Child Protection Certificate
- Responsible Person Acceptance
- Full Drivers License
- Reliable Car
