HR People Partner, Retail & Consumer - Sydney

The Opportunity

Reporting to a Senior People Partner, this role is pivotal in providing exceptional customer service to the Leadership Teams across various Retail and Consumer Distribution Centres. This is a true generalist role where you will drive a positive impact across all aspects of a team member’s life cycle and partner with People Leaders to ensure their people objectives are met.

As the HR People Partner, you will:
- Supports the timely execution of people activities across the distribution centres ensuring alignment to business priorities.- Manages ER/IR issues end to end, providing advice, consultation and coaching to the business on relevant policies and industrial instruments.- Conducts workplace investigations & resolves disputes and grievances.- Supports the development of project plans and executing on initiatives that support the broader Retail and Consumer People Plan.- Provides advice and support to managers with Workday tasks as required.- Facilitates some training programs to lift People Leader capability and ownership for HR processes and practices

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role- Tertiary education in Human Resources, Business, Law or Psychology.- Working knowledge of the industrial legislation and employment law matters- Working knowledge of HRIS systems & Microsoft Office Suite- Strong case management skills with an eye for detail

- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.- Initiative and Drive, showing proactive problem-solving and independent decision-making.- Business Insights prowess, building your understanding of key business metrics to provide valuable HR insights and recommendations to leaders.- Experience in building trust, rapport and maintaining credibility with stakeholders
