**About the Opportunities**:

- Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology_ now has an opportunity for a **full-time Pathology Services Assistant** to join their pre-analytical and specimen reception area in the Birtinya Laboratory.

Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be:

- Specimen reception, test coding, data entry, and processing;
- Answering calls, providing results, and transferring calls;
- Packing, unpacking, receipting and distribution of specimens - you may be required to be on your feet for long periods of time and lift/carry eskies;
- Delivery of specimens to laboratory departments;
- Loading of samples onto automated equipment;
- assisting with local stores and packing doctors and clinic provisions for delivery by local courier; and
- Preanalytical preparation and processing, including centrifuging and aliquoting of specimens.

In this role, you will be enthusiastic, possess good communication and organisational skills, and will have the ability to work as part of a busy and multi-tasked team. Crucial to your success is a high level of commitment to customer service, laboratory turnaround times and accuracy of processing.
