**DOCUMENT CONTROLLER**

**THE COMPANY**

Our client is a global leader in the packaging, paper, glass, and resource recovery industries, providing high-quality, innovative and sustainable packaging products and solutions. They offer a full lifecycle of packaging capability and have been leading packaging innovation in Australia for more than a decade.

**THE PROJECT**

Brand new $500 million glass recycling and remanufacturing factory complete greenfield project. The facility will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland's glass annually to produce 1 billion bottles a year. This is a client-side role.

**YOUR ROLE**

**As the Document Controller, you will implement the technical direction set by the business for major projects. This role will work in the site construction office and support the engineering team on major projects and take a leadership role in managing and controlling engineering documents for the projects assigned.**
- Working collaboratively with Project management and Engineering teams to ensure documentation is controlled, managed and archived as per the business strategy
- Support Engineering group and project with drawings and documents
- Finalizing documentation of plant and equipment changes as a result of capital works

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Maintain project files, records and systems in line with project procedures and processes
- Maintain an efficient project-related document control register.
- Knowledge of check and review cycles, including the creation of workflows.
- Knowledge of current document control standards.
- Supervise and record document flow to and from all necessary parties, including external parties, sub-contractors and the corporate office
- Assist with user issues, requests and training for the EDMS.
- Act as a key company contact between Visy and its third-party-supplied Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- As both a Working Group Committee Member and Process Development Lead, support the rollout of the EDMS, championing its use within good project governance and identifying areas of improvement and opportunity for the EDMS.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
- Document management & coordination experience in a project or design environment
- IT skills with common document management systems. Web-based development skills would be highly regarded.
- Working experience of Commnia would also be highly regarded.
