Allship Engineering is seeking a Fabrication Manager to join our team located in Henderson, WA. Experience in Defence Industry is desirable, but not essential.

Allship undertakes a 4-day work week, 0630-1630, Monday to Thursday.

Please note that working from home is not offered for this position.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a National Police Check and pass a drug and alcohol test prior to commencing employment with us.

**Overview**

The Fabrication Manager is to monitor production output, supervise and develop staff, and ensure that Allship products meet customer specifications and quality expectations. Responsibilities include acting as a Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC), managing inventory, ordering materials, increasing the efficiency of operations and scheduling production.

**Key Duties**
- Act as Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC)
- Manage multiple tasks on multiple Ships at a time
- Utilise Fabrication qualifications and experience to conduct welding and general fabrication inspections
- Facilitate and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure Allship adheres to ISO 9001 & ISO 3834 requirements
- Track and manage weld codes of staff ensuring revalidations are conducted
- Oversee the management of, and completion of Task Packs, inclusive of ITP and SWMS
- Modify Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) that do not adequately capture the necessary safety assessments and associated mitigations
- Identify mandatory task requirements through critical review of Work Instructions, Repair Specifications and Repair Plans
- Consult with Management on resource allocation to meet project requirements
- Participate in site inspections, audits, and reviews conducted by Allship HSEQ department, client HSEQ departments, and third-party accreditation bodies
- Develop and review project plans and schedules in consultation with Management
- Procure parts and materials with company cards and trade accounts
- Manage and issue certified fabrication materials and consumables
- Provide input in to tendering for fabrication tasks
- Track hours and material usage on tasks to assist in cost capture on all fabrication tasks.

**Qualifications & Education Requirements**
- Minimum Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
- AS2214 Welding Supervisor/International Welding Specialist (IWS) (desirable)
- CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent (desirable)
- Construction white card
- C class driver’s licence
- RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights (WAH)
- RIIWHS202E - Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (CS).

**Preferred Skills & Experience**
- Experience within Defence Industry is desirable
- Experience in a project environment is desirable
- Ability to read, understand, interpret Repair Specifications, Work Instruction and Repair Plans
- Ability to read and understand engineering schematics/drawings
- Communication skills adequate to work safely in Industrial and Marine workplaces
- Physical ability to climb ladders and stairwells as is required in marine sites.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
