**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security, we are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join us on a full-time basis based at our head office in South Brisbane. As a key member of the Cyber Security Team and the broader IT team, you will be accountable for critical activities across a very broad range of technical and non-technical domains, including cyber security operations, threat and vulnerability management, and business enablement.

**Primary Responsibilities** will include, but are not limited to:

- **Cyber Security Operations** - Own Security Incident Response by Managing, monitoring, and refining our technical cyber security solutions and controls.
- **Cyber Threat Management** - Implement detective, preventative, and corrective measures against cyber threats, establishing Threat Hunting and Threat Intelligence capabilities
- **Business Enablement** - Support the business to embed stronger cyber security processes and controls, through BAU initiatives, project participation or the Cyber Resilience Program

**About you**:
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is able to effectively prioritise their workload. You will have the ability to independently solve problems and help your team members when necessary. Having the capability to take ownership of issues with a view to continuously improve is crucial in this role.

**Mandatory requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience in the operation and optimisation of technologies such as SIEM/XDR platforms, vulnerability management platforms, and EDR platforms
- Demonstrated experience in handling security incidents in a complex enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems, security technologies and best practice
- Proven ability to develop clear, concise, and purposeful cyber security documentation and reporting
- Exposure to security orchestration and automation
- General understanding of cyber security standards, laws and regulations and the impact on our operations in all jurisdictions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including both technical and business writing, documentation, and presentation skills, with the ability to present ideas and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work in a complex and fast-moving organisation
- Participation in all team operational responsibilities, including rotational on-call incident response (critical/P1 only), security event triage and investigations.
