**Position: Cyber Security Support Specialist**

**Location**: On-site at University of Queensland, St Lucia Campus

**Eligibility**:Must be Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

**Hours**:Flexible between Monday to Friday, 7 am to 7 pm, and Saturday, 9 am to 12 pm AEST. **Anticipated hours**: 16-20 hours per week, with potential fluctuations due to business needs or exam periods

**Anticipated Start Date and duration: 13**th January 2025 - ongoing with potential for career progression

Full training provided over 6 weeks

**About the role**:
Our client's mission is to enhance the cyber resilience of small businesses and protect them from cyber threats. As a Cyber Security Support Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in providing critical support and solutions to our clients, helping them navigate and mitigate cyber risks.

As a **Cyber Security Support Specialist**, your primary responsibilities will include:

- Engage professionally and empathetically with clients, providing phone-based support
- Develop and maintain technical proficiency in cyber security across diverse technologies and operating systems
- Provide hands-on assistance to improve clients' technical resilience across various devices and operating systems
- Evaluate cyber resilience maturity and risks and referring complex cases to specialists if needed

**About you**:

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including engaging people calmly and professionally who are under stress
- Empathetic, conflict management and resolution skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
