**About the role**

This is a **permanent, full-time** position working **35 hours** per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm) and will be based at **Nowra Administration Building.**

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

**Duties**

Reporting directly to the Senior Civil Engineer, the focus of this position is to:

- To provide technical support to Senior Civil Engineer in the maintenance and administration of the Design Engineering Team’s Quality Assurance systems and operations.
- To undertake investigation, drafting, report writing, quantity and cost estimation tasks for a range of infrastructure projects.
- To assist in the engagement and management consultants to deliver high quality design solutions.
- To assist in providing traffic technical assessments, reports and recommendations.

**Skills & Experience**

In order to be successful in the position, you possess:

- A Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant Qualification; or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the delivery of civil infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of engineering drafting, CAD software packages, and spreadsheets, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical issues during the planning, and delivery phase of projects.
- The ability to manage consultants (eg. Survey) and contracts involved in investigation and design for infrastructure projects.
- Class C Driver’s Licence
