We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced procurement professional to join our procurement team based in our Global Head office in South Bank, Brisbane. This position presents an opportunity to become a trusted Business Partner while providing procurement expertise to Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG).

You will be responsible for delivering tangible value through the comprehensive management of strategic sourcing initiatives. The role emphasises achieving savings—both direct and cost avoidance—while fostering robust stakeholder relationships, enhancing brand understanding, leveraging market intelligence, and promoting innovation. As Global Category Manager you will play an integral role in driving and supporting FCTG’s strategy and vision throughout the Business, focusing on our Global Technology spend.

** Your Role & Responsibilities**:

- Strategic Sourcing- In conjunction with Business Owners and key Stakeholders, develop sourcing strategies and deliver on program of works within the assigned portfolio-
- Lead end-to-end market engagement activities, including RFx, benchmarking and direct negotiations-
- Conduct analysis of data and the preparation of complex business cases and Category Plans-
- Contribute towards cost optimisation targets and enhance revenue generating opportunities-
- Identify and implement process improvements and increase productivity- Stakeholder Engagement- Be recognised as a trusted Business Partner and expert within FCTG for anything Procurement related-
- Build and maintain open and transparent relationships with Service Owners and Business Stakeholders at all levels-
- Provide regular updates on key strategies, projects, risks and continuous improvement programs- Supplier Relationship Management- Support Service/Platform Owners in the facilitation of SRM initiatives-
- Support the management of supplier performance through contemporary tools and frameworks, including scorecards and performance reviews-
- Identify and support the development of strategic supplier relationships-
- Manage supplier risk through mitigation strategies and ensure continuity of supply- Innovation- Continuously remain current with industry trends and new developments-
- Contribute to knowledge sharing with regional offices around the GlobeActive involvement in resulting transformation projects- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement or IT
- 7+ years relevant procurement and Category Management experience
- Strong Procurement, contract, and Supplier Management experience
- Strong knowledge, understanding and experience in identifying contractual risks
- Strong commercial acumen with a record of providing insightful business analysis
- Exceptional track record building relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
- Adaptable and ability to work with ambiguity
- Strong negotiation skills, with the demonstrated ability to develop and effectively present coherent, well-structured negotiating positions
- Strong knowledge of procurement governance and policies
