**About the Department**
- Austin Health Radiation Oncology is part of the Olivia Newton John Cancer Wellness Research Centre which is situated in Heidelberg. Our department provides a full range of radiation oncology services to meet the diverse needs of the cancer patients, including subspecialist expertise in gynaecology and head & neck tumour streams. In 2021, we launched the Victorian Statewide MRI Linear Accelerator programme, based around an Elekta Unity machine. Austin Health is proud of its diverse work environment.
We have active technical programs in stereotactic radiotherapy, IMRT/VMAT, HDR brachytherapy, superficial radiotherapy and respiratory-gated treatments in a variety of tumour streams. There is the opportunity to be involved in innovative research projects in the fields of clinical outcomes research, oncologic nuclear medicine, health services research and informatics. Additionally, translational laboratory or molecular imaging research opportunities are available for those undertaking a higher degree with the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.
The Radiation Oncology department at Austin Health is an accredited training site of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and is part of the Victorian and Tasmanian Statewide training program. This position is an unaccredited position.

- Eligibility for medical registration in Australia (AHPRA)
- Completed a minimum of two years full-time postgraduate experience in an approved hospital as an intern/resident medical officer
- Previous experience in Radiation Oncology is desirable
