**About the department**:

- The role of the Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre (BAROC) is to provide radiation oncology treatment services to patients with cancer.? BAROC provides a full range of treatment types to service the diverse needs of the cancer patients.? It is an innovative and progressive Radiation Oncology Centre located in Ballarat.
- The Centre is equipped with two linear accelerators with high energy electrons. The treatment service is supported by simulator and 3D planning systems. It provides cancer services to patients from the Ballarat region and surrounds. The Centre also provides a true multidisciplinary service and directly provides a variety of nursing and allied health service to all patients in their care.
- The Campus Director provides clinical direction and leadership and is supported by the Manager/Chief Radiation Therapist who coordinates all activities in the Centre ensuring patient care is provided in a timely, efficient manner

**About the role**:

- To provide timely and caring medical expertise in Radiation Oncology field to patients suffering from cancers and benign conditions
- To demonstrate research interest in Radiation Oncology field
- To provide timely responses to multiple clients including referring doctors and other units within the hospital
