Are you a Support Worker who loves working with a self-determining mature male who appreciates Australian Culture? Someone who loves a stimulating conversation and enjoys watching a bit of sports and movies in the down time? If this sounds like you, then read on.

We are on the hunt for a resilient Support Worker for our Client in Nundah who experiences challenges with mobility. Our Client requires morning supports with personal cares, light domestic duties, community access, and meal preparation.

Shifts are available as the following, Saturday 7am-9am. With the opportunity for increased hours.

Our Client has a wicked sense of humour and really needs a Support Worker that is confident, has a ‘thick skin,’ and has firm personal boundaries Also, the ideal person can communicate well, doesn’t offend easily, and has some life experience.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:

- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs
- Provide support to our Clients as required
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

- Resonate with the role description above
- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $34.45 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

**Language**:

- Fluent English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)
