Disability Support Worker

**About the role**:

Our Client is a mature male who loves 10-pin bowling - any interest or knowledge of the game would be a bonus. He loves to joke around with others, and takes pride in having a clean, tidy home. The ideal Support Worker for our Client is someone who is resilient, thick skinned and can support our Client on all kinds of days.

The role will involve assistance with personal care tasks, domestic duties, and community access including shopping. A valid licence, registered vehicle, and comprehensive insurance is required. Experience with manual handling is preferred.

We are looking for Disability Support Workers who can assist with a range of daytime shifts on weekdays and weekends.

**The base hourly rate for weekdays between the hours of 6am to 8pm is $31.96/hr. Our Saturday rate is $43.63/hr. Our Sunday rate is $55.79/hr. Please note pay rates are set and not negotiable.**

You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and support from our awesome Support Specialist team.

- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs
- Provide support to our Clients as required
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

- Resonate with the role description above
- Hold NDIS worker screening or yellow card (or willingness to obtain)
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
- Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (preferred)
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
- Hold a police check or be willing to obtain
- Have an open driver’s licence, registered vehicle, and comprehensive insurance (required)
- Manual handling experience (preferred)
