Doris Blackburn Preschool has been providing quality, affordable education for 4 year old and 3 year old children in the local area nearly 80 years. We are an independent, community-based Centre that encourages our children to engage in a play-based program making their learning meaningful, relevant, interesting and imaginative. **Work Days of the Role**

Thursday and Friday

**Hours of Work of the Role**

18.25 hours per week. Contact 14 hrs. Non-contact 3.75 hrs. staff Meeting 0.5 hrs Session times Monday & Thursday 8.30am - 4.00pm

**Description**
- To be familiar with the National Quality Standard (NQS) and associated learning frameworks.
- Appropriate understanding and knowledge of early childhood development.
- The ability to provide a developmentally appropriate educational program in partnership with the early childhood teacher and parents.
- Ability to plan, reflect, work and manage time effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Be a positive role model to children.
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate a positive work culture and be solution focused in thinking and practice
- Confidence using technology
- Knowledge of Child Safety Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme, Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting obligations.

**Qualifications**

Essential requirements

Hold an approved Diploma level qualification, or be actively working towards a qualification in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
