CAMILLA is searching the heavens for a true creative print artist who is able to bring original ideas to life in a têxtile print through hand illustrations, paintings and digital design. Experience, passion & strength for Placement Print/T-shirt Design is a bonus
The successful Artist will use their unique yet adaptable handwriting and design style to create on brand, magnificent, world-class têxtile designs and artworks that will challenge the status quo and be used across all our têxtiles and hardware in each of our categories.
Experience in têxtiles and design is essential, however we are open to exploring Junior - Mid weight experience who understands the CAMILLA brand aesthetic and can tailor their skillset to create works of art in our colourful world
**Key Responsibilities**
- Research print and fashion trends including colour and develop concepts and boards to contribute to the seasonal Creative Brief
- Create original artworks and illustrations for seasonal têxtile prints across all categories, including placements and hardware
- Present design concepts, while effectively communicating the concept behind the seasonal print ranges for internal audiences
- Work with the cross-functional team to create Textile Designs from concept to reality that meets the requirements of the brand strategy and commercial goals
- Work directly with the Textile Managers to ensure print development is in line with the Camilla seasonal themes and the brand handwriting
- Develop an understanding of Camilla’s global consumer trends and print requirements
- Participate in functional discussions and initiatives across departments to ensure strategic and business goals are met and aligned with overall creative direction

**What we are searching for..**
- Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud
- especially Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or Textile Design
- A strong and distinctive painting, illustration or design style that has the potential to push the boundaries of the brand whilst maintaining our core brand DNA
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to work collaboratively as a team
- The ability to create artworks for têxtile prints as well as be adaptable in creating artworks for other purposes (activewear/hardware).
- Familiarity with current trends, colour, and design with a love for researching and developing print theme boards as well trend boards
- A rich imagination that creates iconic and original artworks
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Experience in engineered print placement a bonus
