About the role
There is an exciting opportunity to join Turning Point in a senior leadership role. Turning Point is a national treatment, research and education centre that provides leadership in the alcohol and drug, gambling and mental health sectors. Combining research with service innovation, surveillance, system enhancements, education, capacity building and specialist support, Turning Point is a recognised centre of excellence that assists services, communities and governments to respond to current and emerging issues. Turning Point is part of Eastern Health and is affiliated with Monash University
The Associate Program Director Turning Point Statewide Treatment Services is accountable for the effective leadership and operational management of Turning Point’s suite of Treatment Services across face to face and telehealth. The Associate Program Director will drive strategy and direction, innovation, clinical safety, quality and risk management as well as financial and activity management within their areas of responsibility.
The position will oversee the enhancement of existing clinical services, new program implementation and program innovations that are focused on agreed strategic outcomes. The Associate Program Director will work closely with the Program Director and Executive Clinical Director of Turning Point and other senior staff to enhance quality improvement, and promote evidence-based practice for a suite of clinical services.
The service profile includes delivery of specialist face-face outpatient services, statewide clinical programs and a range of state and national telephone and online support services. A key area of responsibility will be operational management of the recently established Hamilton Centre. Working alongside the Clinical Director of the Hamilton Centre, the centre is focused on strengthening integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions. The role will hold operational responsibility for:
The Hamilton Centre and its clinical operations
Other statewide clinical services operating from our Richmond site (including pharmacotherapy and neuropsychology)
A suite of telephone and online services that operate across Australia (including DirectLine, Nurse & Midwife Support and CounsellingOnline)
Service and staff participation in research and education initiatives
This role will make a major contribution to strategic analysis and planning. A key priority is to ensure that our Treatment Services are striving for operational excellence and well positioned to support research activities. This relies on sustainable business models with strong partnerships, successfully operating within a competitive environment which contributes to the overall strategic business goals and objectives of the program.
