**About you**

The role will support specialist bid teams develop and deliver high quality written proposals. You have excellent writing and editing skills, a collaborative and team-oriented approach and can easily build relationships. You have exceptional attention to detail and thrive under pressure, showing tenacity and persistence. You have the flexibility to work in different locations and outside normal business hours when required.

**About the role**

Serco is a global provider of services to government and commercial organisations and, in the Asia-Pacific region, delivers contracts in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. In Australia, Serco business units focus on facilities management in health, education, aged care, housing and other sectors, as well as delivering operations and maintenance services in defence, justice, immigration and citizen services.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- An undergraduate degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Corporate Affairs, Professional Writing, or similar
- An ability to write about complex, technical concepts in a concise, accessible and easy-to-read manner and to produce professional documentation
- Professional writing and editing skills
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Confidence to challenge proposed solutions that do not meet customer requirements
- An ability to forge effective and collaborative working relationships
- An ability to move quickly from one task and priority to another
- Strong research skills and an ability to quickly source information using range of sources
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
- Experience in the following areas would be beneficial:

- Use of MS Word, MS Teams and SharePoint
- Involvement in or significant exposure to the corporate sector
- Involvement in or exposure to the bidding and proposal process, preferably in the
preparation of bids for government contracts
- Involvement in or exposure to conducting research
