Project Procurement Officer

This mining company is starting a programme of construction and refurbishment on one of their main mines.

They are looking for someone to assist with allocated procurement packages from cradle to grave, including contracts administration, co-ordination of all support services for the packages, expediting, inspection, transport, and logistics.

Under the guidance of the Procurement Manager your duties will include:

- Assist with cradle to grave procurement package management,
- Compile bid list,
- Expedite engineering deliverables,
- Issue tenders, manage addendums and clarifications, close bids / bid openings,
- Assist with commercial evaluation, draft award documentation and conform contracts,
- Attend kick-off and progress meetings,
- Assist with insurance and securities requirements, and process payments and variation claims
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints, escalate as appropriate.
- Meet budget, productivity, accuracy, and schedule KPI’s.

Skills and experience:

- Previous experience as a Procurement Officer on large heavy industrial projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple project requirements.
- Detail orientated and schedule focused - ability to hand large numbers of packages concurrently.
- Good communication skills - both written and oral.
- Advanced IT skills - MS products.

This role will be based in West Perth with the option to work from home.
