Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) was Australia’s first dedicated paediatric
research facility and is now one of the nation’s most highly regarded independent medical
research centres. Our research focuses on the areas of embryonic development and birth
defects, cancer, neuroscience, genomics and gene therapy, and we have a strong
international reputation based on our research outcomes. CMRI’s research programs are
supported by state-of-the-art facilities and committed scientific and support staff. Our
achievements are made possible by a loyal network of community supporters, highly engaged
donors, and the very successful Jeans for Genes® fundraising campaign.
The successful applicant for this full-time position will report to the Head of Marketing and
Communications. It is essential the applicant have high level written communication skills and
experience with digital marketing strategy and execution. Extensive knowledge of social media
channels is required, as is experience with website CRMs and Google Analytics. Marketing
ability to work in a dynamic and highly collaborative team, a desire to learn and grow with the
changing digital landscape, and strong self-motivation are essential.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Initiating and executing digital marketing strategies in line with overall marketing
and fundraising objectives, including monitoring performance, reporting, and
optimising outcomes
- Creating content for organic social media and paid social media advertisements to
increase brand awareness and drive donations
- Updating, maintaining ,and curating content for websites and the online shop
- Overseeing the execution of SEO tasks
page conversion rates and website traffic metrics.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external agencies as needed to ensure
projects are completed at a high standard and in a timely manner
Key Skills:
- Tertiary qualification and 3 years work experience in an equivalent role
- Experience using content management systems
- Experienced with a range of analytical tools (e.g. Google Analytics) relevant to
digital marketing and the skill to pull out key data sets and report back for future
optimisation
- Good understanding of SEM, SEO, and social platforms
- A positive attitude and ability to actively collaborate as part of a team
- High attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Past experience with digital fundraising desirable but not required
You will be provided with a competitive remuneration package in accordance with
qualifications and experience (Indicative Salary: $90,000.00/year plus benefits). Additional
benefits include the provision of a Public Benevolent Institution salary packaging scheme
and participation in an employer-contributed superannuation fund.
