**The Role**
The
**Accounts Receivable Officer’s** purpose is to assist with the day-to-day accounts receivable functions in a timely and accurate manner, to achieve the goals of GenusPlus Group and associated entities.

Under supervision and reporting to the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer, the
**Accounts Receivable Officer’s **responsibilities will include:

- Provide advice in Accounts Receivable, as required;
- Liaise with Project Managers and Operations for invoicing claims/tenders, including service contracts and projects;
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practice for Accounts Receivable processes, practices and standards;
- Allocate and open new Job Numbers, process and upload purchase orders and remittance payments into the system and send monthly statements to customers;
- Prepare various sales and job reports as required;
- Assist with monitoring account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities and follow up with debtors as per Company standards, and consult with the Finance Manager to negotiate payment arrangements.

**Essential Skills / Qualifications/Experience**
- 3+ years’ experience working within a similar finance and administration department;
- Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety;
- High level customer relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Advanced level PC, printer, scanners, and internet skills;
- Advanced level Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills;
- Willingness to follow instructions as directed by the line manager;
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills;
- Willingness to work cohesively within a team environment and ability to work independently, using own initiative;
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles;
- Basic knowledge of GST Codes and usage.

**Desirable Skills / Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Bookkeeping / Accounting or similar;
- Experience in utilities and/or construction and/or resources industry;
- Broad commercial awareness;
- Ability to use Microsoft Navision Business Central is highly regarded.
