**Job Summary**

Karen Soanes Music Teacher is a mobile music education service. Our qualified teachers travel to students’ homes to deliver exceptional and engaging musical tuition to students of all ages. We provide music lessons in students’ homes making it both comfortable for the student and convenient for the parents. KSMT is seeking another highly energetic teacher due to demand from students. This teacher will be based in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane and will be contracted to work on a casual basis. The successful applicant will have access to their own transport with insurance, a positive approved Blue Card, be able to play the piano and at least 1 other musical instrument and have the ability to read music. The hours are flexible; however, applicants must be available during each school term for before school lessons between 7-8.30am and after school lessons 3.30 - 6.00pm a minimum of 2 days per week. Training will be provided for the right person and wages will be commensurate with experience. Teaching experience is not necessary but would be a definite advantage.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Teach students in a fun and caring manner
- Adapt teaching style for students of different ages and abilities
- Work together with KSMT to build on classes and student base
- Travel to students’ homes to deliver exceptional quality music lessons

**Qualifications and Skills**

Minimum 3 years of musical instrument playing
- Sound knowledge of music theory and technical skill on the piano and your chosen instrument
- Professional presentation
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with both parents and students
- Excellent time management skills
- A genuine love for children and a passion to see them succeed
- A positive attitude and easy going personality
- Ability to work both with the team and autonomously
- Available for an immediate start
