General Manager- Vikings Sports Club

A fantastic opportunity for a General Manager with extensive hospitality experience and a hands-on approach to lead and manage our satellite venue Vikings Sports Club.

Parramatta Leagues Club (PLC) is one of Australia’s most iconic Clubs in the Western Sydney region. We are passionate about bringing together our community, supporting local causes and offering welcoming experiences for our members and community by delivering exceptional service.

This is an exciting time to join our Club as we embark on the execution of our strategic plan which includes a refresh of our Clubhouse, digital transformation, expansion of our facilities as well as exploring potential opportunities in our precinct.

Our satellite venue, Vikings Sports Club, is our family-friendly community club located in Dundas. We aim to deliver a place where locals can enjoy great food, great value and great entertainment in a family-friendly atmosphere.

**Duties will include, but are not limited to**:

- Managing the day-to-day operations of all areas of the licensed club premises, including cleaning, security, repairs, operations, and maintenance
- Managing compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, and all relevant legislation
- Ensuring a consistent level of customer service is delivered to members and patrons.
- Stock control and inventory management
- Building and developing a high-performing team
- Maintaining effective communications systems throughout the club, including communicating effectively with members and patrons, staff, the community and liaising with key external stakeholders
- Budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss management

**About you**:

- Previous experience as a Club or Venue Manager
- “Can roll up your sleeves” and lead the resolution of problems under demanding time constraints.
- Inspiring and influential leadership and management skills and experience in mentoring and developing team members.
- Sound knowledge of Gaming, Security and Food and Beverage environments including knowledge of current legislation
- Strong financial, analytical, and operational management experience
- Passionate about the hospitality industry and delivering an excellent customer experience.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work shift work, weekends and public holidays if required.
- Bachelor of Hospitality, Business or Commerce (desirable)
