**About the position**

One of the larger Schools within the University, the School of Psychology & Public Health undertakes teaching and research across a broad range of disciplines, including: Neuroscience; Psychology; Counselling; Rehabilitation Counselling; Art Therapy; Family Therapy; Public Health; Digital Health and Analytics; Health Information Management; and Ergonomics, Safety and Health.

The Department of Psychology, Counselling and Therapy encompasses several broadly related disciplines, including clinical, developmental, and social psychology; neuropsychology, cognition, and behavioural neuroscience; rehabilitation and mental health counselling; and art and family therapy.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this position, you will have;
- PhD degree or completion of a postgraduate qualification in a discipline relevant to Rehabilitation Counselling (i.e. rehabilitation counselling, counselling, health psychology, rehabilitation psychology, counselling psychology), with subsequent professional work experience; OR completion of an equivalent level of training and professional practice experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the requirements for students undertaking placements and/or in coordination of placements more generally, including familiarity with a range of existing and new placement providers.
- Ability to engage effectively with external partners so as to increase student access to rich placement opportunities.
