**The Role**
- Deliver executive support including managing the appointment diary and meeting arrangements of the Senior Executive Service Officer.
- Utilise the information available to prepare briefing packs, reports and papers for senior Defence committees.
- Build and sustain relationships in order to work collaboratively within the work area and other areas of Defence.
- Liaise with stakeholders and visitors of all levels, building good working relationships and providing a point of contact for assistance and general enquiries.
- Assist with providing finance support in line with Defence Chief Executive Instructions.
- Maintain records management systems in line with Defence policies and procedures.

The Senior Leadership Group plays a key role in promoting and influencing a shared civilian/military commitment to the strategic direction of Defence. The executive assistant role is a position of trust and discretion. In working directly to members of the Senior Leadership Group it is crucial that individuals are suitably skilled, professional, work well under pressure and have strong communication skills.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate the needs of your senior executive officer, and exhibit flexibility and resilience.

You will have excellent time management skills, strong attention to detail and excel at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

You will be self-aware, with a cooperative and positive attitude, and be experienced in working within diverse teams, demonstrating consideration and respect for a diversity of ideas and perspectives of others.
