Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Driver Supervisor/ Operations Assistant will ensure the management of drivers, company and subcontractors, is done economically and activities are performed safely, accurately and in accordance with legislative, company and customer requirements. This role is responsible for maximising the efficiency of the Transport department by providing excellent administrative support in managing and coordinating the department’s requirements. This role is a fast paced role and will suit someone with energy, personal drive and flexibility. **Key accountabilities include**: - Provide leadership and effective management of company drivers and subcontractors - Conduct regular team meetings with drivers - Ensure loading and inspection procedures are adhered to - Collecting, reviewing paperwork for damages and providing reports where necessary - Ensure lead time and plan cost effective fleet servicing with workshop to meet minimum scheduled services - Manage compliance with legislative and industry bodies (Trucksafe, FMP, OH&S) - Maintain quality of driver paperwork including collection and filing - Team members are trained in local procedures and in the use of transport and operational equipment - Company Driver and Sub-Contractor Payroll - Processing damage claims - Processing External Invoices - Manifesting fleet VIC/ TAS **Skills & Experience for Success**: - Experience in a similar role is highly desirable - The ability to work effectively in a team within a fast changing environment - Developing a positive working relationship with stakeholders - Eager to learn and develop - Strong personal initiative - Ability to meet deadlines - Strong work ethic and a "Can do" attitude - Strong time management and planning skills - Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal - Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy - Flexible, personable and good problem solver - The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is essential Prixcar is an employer of equal opportunity and encourages and values diversity and inclusion.
