Facility Manager

**Job Description** SGS is seeking a full time Facility Manager to join the dynamic team near Perth Airport.**

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
**Contractor Management/Services**:

- Establish and maintain register for scheduled plant and equipment servicing.
- Oversee maintenance programs with respect to all service systems that form part of the building infrastructure.
- Ensure appropriate selection, scheduling and supervision of all contractor services provided.
- Ensure suitable risk management practices are in place ensuring the provision of a safe working environment.
- Provide proactive support to building management systems ensuring mínimal disruption is caused to laboratory production during breakdown and maintenance of services.

**Project and Facility Operations**:

- Coordinate all project activities between business lines ensuring clear scope, deliverables, execution and review.
- Assist the business lines in the optimization of laboratory processes whilst ensuring required quality standards are met.
- Establish leadership and control of site logistics, ensuring a structured process is followed for all goods/services into and out of the facility.
- Participate in the development of business line operating goals and objectives; recommends, implement and administer methods and procedures to enhance efficiencies.
- Ensure clearly defined, practiced and communicated emergency protocols are in place to minimise loss to personnel, process and property.
- Centralised responsibility for all emergency response processes, resources and requirements.

**Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance**:

- Assist business lines in the maintenance of ISO 17025 accreditation and ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001 Certification..

**Environment and Sustainability**:

- Responsibility for the co-ordination of regulatory authorities and any requirements for environmental reporting (including spills) in conjunction with the OI Environmental Officer.
- Ensure Maintenance of Perth Airport Environmental Management Plan (EMP) assisting the business line understanding, involvement and improvement with requirements and review processes.

**Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Chemistry or Engineering.
- Significant experience of multi business labs/facility practices with significant chemical processes.
- Desirable experience in Environmental Management Systems.
- Experience in the developing a sustainable safety culture within laboratories or facilities.
- Proven management experience.
