KU Children's Services (KU) is a leading not for profit provider of around 130 early childhood education and care services in NSW, VIC and the ACT. Established in 1895, KU is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected providers of long day care, preschool, outside school hours care, family programs and early intervention services. **The Service**

KU Penrith Preschool is a 40 place preschool that is a proud pillar of the local community. We are proud of our reputation within the local community of providing rich education and care that concentrates on individual children in a family-focussed and supportive way. Our playground is designed to maximise the use of the natural environment and allow children to play and explore as they would in their own backyard. We offer stimulating activities that arouse children’s curiosity and encourage them to choose from a variety of planned experiences, expanding their learning potential. Our playground includes natural elements such as sand, water, grass, mud, leaves and twigs, and we also offer gross motor experiences such as climbing, jumping and physical play. We foster the holistic development of each child so they feel inspired to create, imagine and play.

**The Role**

We are looking for an experienced Service Director with proven leadership qualities and strong pedagogical practice. The service is proudly rated as exceeding, this role would suit a director well experienced in A & R, looking to continue to grow practice and develop innovative approaches to curriculum and documentation.

This **permanent, full time **position will see you working **7.6 hours per day, Monday-Friday during school terms **. As this is a small service, this is a teaching director’s role and you will have 1 day per week dedicated to administrative duties.

**In addition, you will have**:

- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- Previous Directing Experience
- A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Teacher Accreditation through NESA
- Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- A current First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
- Solid computer literacy skills as you would be required to work with financial systems
