- Competitive remuneration package up to $94,326 p.a. (package includes salary between $70,694 - $83,957 p.a., plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading).

**About this opportunity**:
This role is in the Library Services Division which provides high quality reader services and access to the State Library’s rich heritage, print and digital collections and develops and preserves these collections for future generations. The role will work across the Cataloguing and Collection Services Branch and the Collection Acquisition & Curation Branch within this Division.

In this role you will:

- Use information systems and other technology to check holdings and compile listings of potential acquisitions, undertake a range of tasks related to acquisitions including receipt of collections, preparing materials for storage, management of collections in storage, and assist with the collection of material from donors and vendors.
- Place orders, receive and process acquisitions and invoicing; copy and reformat material, undertake stack moves and prepare materials for storage and/or digitisation, support offsite storage on project basis, collate statistics and organise incoming and outgoing requests to support the delivery of services.
- Work as a team member, contribute to a positive team environment by providing support to and sharing knowledge and information with colleagues; and provide on-the-job training for team members.
- Provide operational and practical input to and participate in process and service improvement activities and projects within and across teams to review, improve and develop services and processes in accordance with the annual work plan and continuous improvement processes.

**About you**:
You will also have the qualifications acceptable for library technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) or other qualifications and experience deemed by the State Librarian to be equivalent, that meets the minimum standard of skill and knowledge inherent in the ALIA standard.
