Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and near the central business district, the Art Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land - the Gadigal of the Eora Nation.

The Art Gallery attracts over 1 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With the recent opening of our expanded art campus, the Art Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Art Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

**About the role**

The Art Gallery is currently seeking two part-time Library Technicians to work in a job-share role to support the Gallery in its provision of Library research and reader services to staff and the public.

**What technical / soft skills you require**
- Tertiary qualifications consistent with the requirements of the Award and the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) or equivalent relevant experience in the principles and practices of contemporary librarianship, using, developing and maintaining Library management systems.
- Ability to work on a regular Saturday or Sunday.
- Demonstrated research and reference skills, including the ability to use reference resources such as online databases, web browsers and search engines
